SAINT-JOHN, NB, Oct. 20, 2026 /CNW/ -- CIMA+, one of Canada's largest private consulting engineering firms, officially opened its new office in Saint John yesterday, further strengthening its presence in New Brunswick and supporting the firm's continued growth across the Atlantic region.

The official opening was marked by an event on October 15 bringing together employees, clients, partners and representatives from the City of Saint John. While the office represents a new permanent home for CIMA+ in the city, the firm has been active in the region for several years, building long-standing relationships and collaborating on projects with public and private sector clients.

The Saint John office consolidates the firm's established presence and brings together CIMA+ teams and expertise locally. It also enhances the firm's ability to draw on multidisciplinary capabilities from across the organization, including expertise in Energy and Resources, Infrastructure and Buildings. This breadth of expertise enables CIMA+ to respond to the evolving needs of clients throughout New Brunswick and the Atlantic region.

"The Atlantic region is an important part of CIMA+'s growth strategy, and establishing a permanent presence in Saint John is a natural next step in our continued expansion across the region. New Brunswick provides access to key markets, including defence, ports and marine. We see significant opportunities to bring our multidisciplinary expertise to these markets and collaborate with our clients to deliver projects that contribute to the region's sustainable development," said Jeff Hynes, Executive Director and Atlantic Region Leader at CIMA+.

CIMA+'s presence in Saint John also positions its teams closer to clients and partners in a region with significant activity across multiple sectors. By combining local knowledge and established relationships with specialized expertise available across the firm, the new office will support greater collaboration and provide a strong base for CIMA+'s continued development in New Brunswick.

"We have been working alongside clients and partners in Saint John and across New Brunswick for a long time, so this office is about building on relationships and expertise that are already well established here. Having a permanent home in Saint John brings our people together, strengthens our connection to the community and gives our clients even greater access to the breadth of expertise available across CIMA+," said Joel Vienneau, Senior Project Manager, Buildings and Saint John Office Manager at CIMA+.
