Calgary Debut: See The "No-Trailer" Battle Cat & Massive 14' Aquadock at Booth 1121

Kelowna, Canada - January 29, 2026 / Canadian Board Company /

For decades, Alberta boaters have faced a binary choice: deal with the expensive logistics of trailers, storage units, and boat ramps, or settle for inferior "pool toy" inflatables. At the 2026 Calgary Boat & Outdoors Show (Booth 1121), Canadian Board Co. is officially breaking that compromise.

For the first time in Western Canada, the Kelowna-based outfitter will unveil the Rover Marine "Battle Series"—a lineup of high-performance micro-skiffs that deliver the rigidity and speed of a fiberglass boat but roll up into the trunk of a standard SUV.

The Calgary Debut: Battle Cat vs. Battle Boat Storage in Calgary is at a premium, and the hassle of towing a trailer to Sylvan Lake or Windermere often keeps people off the water. Canadian Board Co. is launching two specific solutions at Booth 1121 to solve this:

  1. The Battle Boat (V-Hull): A technical marvel for traditionalists. Featuring a drop-stitch floor that inflates to a rock-hard 10+ PSI and a solid marine-grade transom, this vessel cuts through chop and tracks like a rigid dinghy. It is rated for up to 20HP gas outboards, making it a legitimate runabout that hides in a closet.
  2. The Battle Cat (Catamaran) – Show Debut: This is the head-turner. The twin-hull catamaran design offers unmatched lateral stability, making it the ultimate platform for fly fishing or standing casts. It runs shallower, faster, and with smaller motors than monohulls, and it has never been displayed in Calgary before.

The "Floating Real Estate" Solution: POPUP Aquadock 14' Alongside the boats, Canadian Board Co. is addressing the other major pain point for local cottagers: permitted dock space.

On display will be the massive POPUP Aquadock (14’ x 7’ x 8”). This 98-square-foot platform is designed to act as a permit-free extension to existing docks or boats.

"The difference is in the construction," says the Canadian Board Co. technical team. "Most inflatable docks sold online are 6 inches thick. On choppy Alberta lakes, that means you get wet feet. The POP Aquadock is built with an 8-inch thick core, providing 30% more buoyancy. You can put lawn chairs, coolers, and four adults on it, and it stays bone dry and rock solid."

Why This Matters for Alberta With the rising cost of slip fees and the scarcity of boat storage in urban Calgary, the market is shifting toward "Garage-Ready" marine gear. Canadian Board Co. is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, offering high-ticket durability that survives the rugged Canadian environment without the associated storage costs.

Visit The Display Attendees are invited to Booth 1121 at the BMO Centre (Feb 20–22) to physically test the gear. The team will be demonstrating the setup speed of the Battle Cat and allowing visitors to stand on the Aquadock to feel the rigidity of the 8-inch drop-stitch construction.
